Blatek, Inc., a leading independent manufacturer of piezocomposite materials and transducers for medical and industrial applications, is currently seeking experienced, self-motivated individuals in our Engineering department to join our growing team. The following positions are currently available:
Engineering Technician - Duties include all phases of building engineering prototypes and early phase production units. We are looking for an individual who has advanced soldering and assembly skills. Experience with adhesives and epoxies is a plus. Additional duties include working with the design team to document and record prototype build history and to assist with manufacturing process development and assembly procedure documentation. The individual will work closely with engineers and will be responsible for knowing the critical path and dates in the prototype / product development schedule. The ideal candidate will be an independent problem solver, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to work and communicate effectively with others.
Engineering Test Technician - Duties include preparing and conducting tests on engineering prototype and specialty transducers, troubleshooting and resolving testing problems, documenting and reporting test outcomes, maintaining test information database and completing all process verification records accurately. Assisting the engineering team with specialized assembly work, tuning and face lapping along with the troubleshooting and repair of specialty devices. An Associate degree in Engineering or a related field is desired along with a strong knowledge of the use of oscilloscopes, function generators, impedance analyzers and other test equipment.
Engineering Documentation Coordinator - The Documentation Coordinator will maintain electronic and/or hard copy files of the latest revisions of all Engineering documentation, drawings and customer supplied documents, ensuring that obsolete or down revision documentation is properly identified and maintained per procedures. We are looking for someone who has a minimum of two years relative experience, including a strong knowledge of all aspects of ISO 9001 documentation requirements. Proficiency in working with databases, MRP systems and all Microsoft Office applications is required. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and possess strong organization skills.
